The start of April saw Virtual Eye's John Rendall taking to the stage with Amazon Web Services (AWS) senior solutions architect Ruskin Dantra at AWS Summit Sydney, presenting 'Theory to practice: A guide to real-time architectures' - exploring how Virtual Eye is utilising event-driven and streaming architecture providing deep analytics that bring statistics to life for sports fans.

Also in April, Virtual Eye Golf was supplying our data-driven graphics for the PGA at the Valero Texas Open, the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links, the Zurich Classic at TPC louisiana, the Chevron Championship at Carlton Woods on the LPGA Tour and the Mexico Championship at Vidanta Vallarta.

The 2023 Major League Baseball season has started, with game coverage enhanced by broadcasting tool MLB StatCast 3D (which Virtual Eye maintains and updates). Virtual Eye has supported The Ocean Race since the 1997-1998 Whitbread Round The World Race, and we are continuing to provide our graphics for the duration of the 2022-23 Race - at the beginning of April the fleet arrived in Itajai after a record-breaking 12,750 nautical-mile Leg 3 from Cape Town. 11th Hour Racing won the In-Port Racing before Leg 4 to Newport began on the 23th of the month.
