Virtual Eye News

Virtual Eye - February 2019

February began with Virtual Eye Cricket covering the 2nd Test between hosts Australia and Sri Lanka in Canberra, concurrent with Big Bash League matches in Sydney and Adelaide. Our New Zealand based team were kept busy with the 3rd Womens ODI versus guests India, the ODI and T20 series against India, and the ODI series against visitors Bangladesh. At the end of the month Virtual Eye began covering the 1st Test versus Bangladesh at Seddon Park in Hamilton.

Our Golf operating teams continued their globetrotting ways supporting both the PGA European Tour and PGA Tour, beginning the month already covering the Saudi Arabia International and the Phoenix Open. Our Golf graphics could next be seen during coverage of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Victoria Open at Barwon Heads, which were followed 4 days later by both the Genesis Open at Riviera CC and the ISPS Handa Super 6 in Perth. The World Golf Championships - Mexico Championship at Club de Golf Chapultepec was the next tournament on the drawcard, with the final day of February seeing Virtual Eye at both the NZ Open at Millbrook Resort and the Honda Classic at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Florida.

Virtual Eye - January 2019

21 Cricket matches throughout January kept our operating teams busy on both sides of the Tasman - 8 Big Bash League games, the 4th Test and ODI Series against India, and the first Test against Sri Lanka was the mission for our Australian-based crew. Our New Zealand Operating team covered the ODI Series against Sri Lanka, and then India, and also the White Ferns ODI Series versus the Women in Blue (India).

Virtual Eye Golf covered 9 tournaments on both the European Tour and the PGA Tour over the same period, but on a much more global scale. The Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii was followed by the BMW SA Open in South Africa, before a return to Hawaii for the Sony Open at Waialae CC. Concurrent tournaments were the order of the day after Hawaii, with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and the CareerBuilder Challenge at Stadium Course teeing off at the same time. Next up was the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines GC paired with the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, before finishing the month with the Phoenix Open at Scottsdale and the inaugural Saudi Arabia International at Royal Greens.
