Virtual Eye Golf had a busy July, covering the Open de France at Le Golf National, the Scottish Open at Gullane GC, the 144th Open championship on the Old Course at St Andrews, the European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre GC and the Senior Open Championship at Sunningdale Golf Club.
Virtual Eye Sailing literally brought a truckload of extras to the America's Cup World Series in Portsmouth in addition to our tracking graphics for broadcast television. Housed in the event hospitality area, a 6-screen interactive display can show a variety of camera feeds and information via touchscreen input. A multiplayer Oculus VR setup transports the user to the deck of the 1851 yacht America, aboard a modern AC48 catamaran, and also a view from a helicopter. Updated versions of our sailing simulators, which allow users to race AC45 catamarans, were also in situ.
