Virtual Eye News

May saw the running of the Spanish and Monaco Grand Prix on the 2014 Formula 1 calendar, and Virtual Eye was there providing data and graphics for broadcaster BSkyB. The Virtual Eye Golf Team were kept busy covering the Open de Espana at the Catalunya Resort, the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth and the Nordea Masters in Malmo, Sweden.

Virtual Eye Sailing continued their year providing data and graphics at the Rolex Capri Sailing Week, a regatta for Maxi and Mini-Maxi yachts which this year also included a 52 SuperSeries event for the TP52s and Wild Card IRC52s. We also covered the WPPA X-Cats World Series in Naples, providing TV graphics for live broadcast, web streaming and the Virtual Eye powerboat timing system for race management.

The 2014 Formula1 World Championship moved to the Middle East in early April, where Bahrain was celebrating their 10th Grand Prix by turning on the lights for a night race. On the 20th the action was in Shanghai for the F1 UBS Chinese Grand Prix - Virtual Eye Motorsport was once again in attendance, providing course flyovers and graphics for Broadcaster BskyB.
