Virtual Eye - Audi Racing Simulator

In May, Virtual Eye installed our latest Racing Simulator for Jacaranda Sports Consulting on behalf of Audi Germany. This is our second sailing simulator, following on from the success of the Oracle Racing Simulator that travels with the America's Cup World Series village. The Audi Racing Simulator usually sits in the Audi headquarters at Ingolstadt, Germany. Allowing 2 people to compete against each other in a quick Match Race, it has been used by thousands of people at several big car manufacturing trade shows already, and was also used by the public during Kieler Woche (Kiel Week), which is one of the biggest annual sailing events in Europe.
Virtual Eye supplied the game engine and 3D graphics, which are displayed on 2 racing consoles and a combined big screen view. We also assisted in the hardware design, but the manufacturing took place in Munich by MKT (a company renowned for its work in this field). The simulator will be used at around 12 events, sailing and non sailing, this summer alone. The pictures below are taken at Audi's Ingolstadt headquarters.
