The first week of July saw Virtual Eye Sailing providing broadcast and streaming 3D graphics for the Star Class World Championship Malcesine on Lake Garda, Italy. Virtual Eye Golf's 2014 season was in full swing for the Open de France at Le Golf Nationale, the Scottish Open at Royal Aberdeen, and the 140th Open Championship at Royal Liverpool GC. Another triple-header for the month was Virtual Eye Motorsport, providing F1 graphics for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the Grosser Preis Von Deutshland at Hockenheim and the Hungarian Grand Prix at Hungaroring.
Virtual Eye Cricket set up shop in Sri Lanka for July, covering the first of Sri Lanka's 3 ODIs against visitors South Africa on July 6 at R Premadasa Stadium, the second on July 9 at Pallekele, and the third on July 12 in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota. The team also provided live 3D graphics for the two 5-day tests on July 16-20 at the Galle International Stadium and July 24-28 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo.
Sky Sports F1 used Virtual Eye to explain how race stewards calculate DRS (drag reduction system) zones for each circuit, using Shanghai International as an example. Hungary's Hungaroring circuit had one of it's two DRS zones shortened prior to the running of the 2014 Grand Prix on 26 July.
