May was a significant month for us, with the introduction of new immersive platforms for our signature sports and new avenues for our technologies.
The Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series event in New York featured a new graphical style for broadcast, in addition to the latest version of the America's Cup App featuring free Virtual Eye 3D coverage of each race. The same was true of the 52 Super Series event in Scarlino, for which we also supplied the latest version of the 52 Super Series App in addition to our live broadcast graphics and 3D Web Player.
Our work for Red Bull on the Simple Session BMX/Skateboarding events and Freeride World Tour events (among others) has also lead to us supplying our graphics for Red Bull TV's Season of Festivals, and our experience in Virtual Reality headset technology for America's Cup events gave us a headstart when producing and supplying 360 degree video for Ngai Tahu Tourism at the recent TRENZ convention in Auckland.
Virtual Eye Golf covered the Irish Open at the K Club in Straffan, and then joined the 360 degree video party at the BMW PGA Championships at Wentworth. Featuring 3D graphic overlays showing flightpath, shot length and final distance to pin, users could virtually stand on the fairway and see the player take a shot with the freedom to look anywhere they wanted.
